The Necessity of Humanitarian Relief Efforts and How You Can Help People in Ukraine

Since the fighting in Ukraine began, Go Dharmic has been supporting evacuees from Ukraine, and those still trapped in the country.

At key points along the Romanian and Polish borders, Go Dharmic has been helping new refugees from Ukraine, by supplying emergency packages. Many of these conflict victims escape with no possessions, and these Go Dharmic parcels, containing clothing, food, drinks, blankets, medicine and hygiene products, are essential to maintaining health and well-being.

At the heart of the conflict, Denis Yurych, has been directing Go Dharmic’s efforts in Kyiv. The team is distributing essential supplies and has arranged to provide 10,000 warm meals around the city. Yurych, is one of the many courageous persons who chose to stay in Ukraine, whilst their loved ones evacuated. These volunteers stay to support civilians, and serve those who are not in a position to leave.

How You Can Help Yurych and Go Dharmic’s Humanitarian Relief Efforts?

Volunteering

“Becoming a frontline volunteer wasn’t something that I was expecting…it is something that has been forced upon me by the situation. I have to do it.” – Denis Yurych, Go Dharmic Volunteer

Yurich has been a long time supporter of Go Dharmic. Before the Ukrainian conflict, Yurych would provide graphic design solutions, even designing Go Dharmic’s original logo. Now he is a frontline volunteer.

Go Dharmic welcomes volunteers from anywhere and everywhere. Many of their volunteers operate from their own respective locations. These humanitarian individuals help collect, organise and deliver goods to Ukraine and its borders.

Donating

“We need a stable source of funding. Currently, we are relying on our own limited money. Volunteers are not only risking their lives but are using their savings to help and it’s not enough.” – Denis Yurych, Go Dharmic volunteer

The biggest challenge, for those in Ukraine, has been funding. In Kyiv, the volunteers have been using their personal savings to purchase supplies and sustain their great efforts. Go Dharmic’s volunteers stand as examples of dedication and perseverance. We should all be inspired to express that same dedication to helping others and live by Ahimsa.
