‘Sports personalities come together with Go Dharmic and Northants CCC for the inaugural Sport For Good Charity Dinner’ Go Dharmic, a charitable organization who is developing education facilities for thousands of underprivileged children through its ‘Shape a Future’ campaign, hosted an amazing fundraising dinner at Northamptonshire County Cricket Club on the 8th of November 2019. The event was graced by very special guests to support a great initiative. Northamptonshire County Cricket Club kindly stepped forward as co-hosts for the evening with club chairman Gavin Warren keeping the audience thoroughly entertained with his brilliant wit and humor. England cricket legend and long-time Go Dharmic supporter Monty Panesar donated auction items and mingled with guests, helping the fundraising effort for Barry Goudriaan’s effort to run the Original Everest Marathon for GD schools in India, Nepal and South Africa. Barry is the Head Physiotherapist and Science & Medicine Lead at the Northamptonshire County Cricket Club. “GD causes and the team are very close to my heart. I’ve been involved since the beginning and I’m proud to play a part in helping educate thousands of children.” -Monty Panesar The funds raised will go towards the much-needed development of underprivileged government schools, some of which Barry will be visiting when he travels to Nepal for the Original Everest Marathon in December.  “Thank you, everyone, for an amazing night. Neil Burns, former Leicestershire, and Essex first-class player and head of London County. Northamptonshire Cricket players Rob Keogh, Rob Newton, and head coach David Ripley were also present.  Other notable guests included Zara Balfour, award-winning director of the movie Children of the Snowland, Dolly Ahuja, Mrs. India UK, million-copy bestselling author Louise Jensen, Om Gurung MBE, Regimental Sergeant Major with the Gurkha Signals, Dr. Ken West, Performance Scientist and Dr. Brian Hemmings, CEO of Golf Mind. “It was a very inspiring evening and gave me much to think about!” -Louise Jensen, million-copy best selling author There was also a great auction with items including a signed shirt from Northamptonshire County Cricket Club, a beautiful necklace donated by Steffans Jewellery, Liverpool vs Wolverhampton tickets at Anfield donated by Carlsburg and many more.  “Our long-time GD ambassadors have been strong advocates for advancing global education and making the world a better place. For more information or to donate please visit. Northamptonshire County Cricket Club: Founded in 1878, the cricket club is one of the UK’s eighteen first-class county cricket teams. During the 1890s the club was well known in the Minor Counties Championship, however, in 1905 they were promoted to the County Championship, and gained the first-class status. To date, the team has played in every top-level domestic cricket competition in England! The Club won promotion to Division One last season. They also celebrated success in the T20 Blast. Playing the Finals at Edgbaston in 2013, 2015 and 2016 and crowned T20 Champions in 2013 and 2016
