Simple Steps You Can Take Right Now to Help Afghan Refugees in the UK

Help Afghan Refugees

As violence increases throughout Afghanistan, more and more people are abandoning their homes to seek safety. The Taliban takeover of Afghanistan has, as everyone knows, made more than million people refugees. Internal displacement in Afghanistan has soared by 53% since the start of August, from 360,000 to 550,000 people. Made to flee their homeland without being able to carry anything, has made these poor fellow beings dependent on everything, especially the basic necessities on their host countries.

Food, water, clothes and medicines are desperately needed by these displaced people and Go Dharmic has come forward to help them in their hour of need. Touched by this heartbreaking situation, Go Dharmic is working with Bushey’s Jewish Community, UK to provide all help they can to the newly arrived Afghan refugees in the UK. Scared and traumatised, all these refugees who arrived in the UK with only clothes on their back are being provided with emergency housing within the local community by the Go Dharmic volunteers.

Families with young children need our help and support at these desperate times, and we at Go Dharmic are trying to do just that. Generous donations have been received by us from a lot of people but the need of the hour is more, so any kind hearted soul wanting to give basic toiletries, clothes for all age group people, non perishable food stuff, toys, reading material, stationery are more than welcome. In Kabul alone, some 17,600 internally displaced people are acutely in need of food, water, health care and other aid.

Plagued by decades of violent conflict and natural disasters, Afghanistan has created one of the largest refugee populations in the world. Go Dharmic has been providing humanitarian relief and recovery assistance to those affected by the crises.
