Go Dharmic together with Futures First and other partners have so far delivered over 600,000 meals worth of produce across India in 62 separate locations.
Go Dharmic (GD) announced on April 15th a goal to help feed the vulnerable across India by providing rations of daily food staples such as wheat flour, lentils, rice, salt, spices and vegetables.
The project in India is part of a global effort to inspire and motivate individuals and companies to give up their time and talent to help the most vulnerable people in our communities get through the pandemic by providing food relief. In the short time since, GD together with Futures First and other partners we have delivered over 600,000 meals across 62 locations and are aiming to deliver 1 million meals by next week.
This week, with the help of Futures First employees coordinating from West Bengal, GD will be providing food support to villagers who have been devastated by cyclone Amphan across the Sunderbans. The supplies will provide much needed support for the people effected by the cyclone and the economic impact of the pandemic.
Hemal Randerwala, Chairman of GD, said: “ Elad Hertshten & the team at Futures First provide an incredible example of how a company in today’s world can change lives. Together we will deliver over 1 million meals to vulnerable communities across India, targeting those most affected. Not only do FF teams donate, they actually get involved themselves and make a difference at ground level, bringing their expertise and skills to help those who most need it.
Elad Hertshten Managing Director of Futures First said: Proud to partner with GO Dharmic, helping them achieve their goal of distributing 1 million meals to the vulnerable across India during the Corona Virus lock-down. Thank you Hemal Randerwala for leading this initiative and for your ongoing dedication. Also thanks to our wonderful employees at Futures First for volunteering and supporting this worthy cause.
