BYJU’S Supporting Go Dharmic’s Digitising Education to Address the Digital Divide in Rural India

Digitising Education | Go Dharmic

Digitisation isn’t a new term, but it is undoubtedly a highly relevant one today, which has a huge impact. Driven by the capabilities of new, advanced technologies and the evolving expectations of society, the world at large is changing, and all aspects of life are being disrupted—especially the workplace and, subsequently, the demands from education.

The pandemic had exacerbated the digital divide in education for learners in rural India, and the disparity in education had ballooned. A new dimension of technology has added to the existing challenges of declining attendance in schools, lack of teaching staff, infrastructure, quality of education, etc. Fewer students transition to secondary and higher education with a suffering primary education system.

Technology is the keystone to improving quality, access, and affordability in rural India. With Go Dharmic’s Digitising Education Initiative under our Shape a Future Campaign, we are trying to address the digital divide in education by tackling rural accessibility.

We have recently partnered with BYJU’S, India’s largest EdTech company, where they provided us with 100+ Licences which give free access to the Think and Learn Premium application for the students. These licences will be utilised by the primary school children of Shahpur School, a rural Govt school in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

The app will provide comprehensive maths and science study programmes for students in grades 4 through 12, with some content available in many regional languages and access to the classes from India’s best teachers available on the app.

Our mission is to transform the students’ lives by creating an optimal environment for learning.

As we continue to add more students under this campaign, we are looking to buy/donate devices and welcome any donations; please contact us TODAY
