Responding to the Punjab Floods with Urgency
In the face of the devastating floods that have struck Punjab, Northern India, we, Go Dharmic, have taken immediate action. With heavy rainfall causing widespread flooding and wreaking havoc on the region, our Disaster Relief teams and dedicated volunteers have mobilised to provide critical aid and support to the affected communities.
Loss of Life and Infrastructure Damage
The catastrophic floods have resulted in a significant loss of life, as individuals struggle to cope with the chaos caused by the rising waters. Additionally, the disaster has inflicted severe damage on approximately 150 roads and 10 bridges, further exacerbating the challenges faced by the impacted regions.
Swift and Tireless Relief Efforts
Our disaster relief teams have acted swiftly, working tirelessly on the ground to deliver immediate assistance. Through Monday night and the subsequent 36 hours, our dedicated team has provided essential food supplies and aid to families in Punjab. Moreover, we have actively participated in rescue operations to save individuals trapped by the floods.
GD Impact
Within just 48 hours, our team has managed to rescue and provide clean drinking water and hot meals to 400 families affected by the floods. Our quick response and efficient coordination have ensured that urgent relief reaches those in dire need.
