Partnership With Futures First | News | Go Dharmic

Futures First, a financial company that provides research and advisory services in global derivatives markets with over 500 employees has chosen Go Dharmic as its corporate social responsibility (CSR) partner. As part of the new partnership, Futures First will work with Go Dharmic to develop teams of volunteers who will give their time to help develop libraries in underprivileged government schools across India.

Futures first employees will have the opportunity to change the lives of thousands of children through this initiative by bringing them books, computers, sports equipment and quality learning spaces.

The initial locations for the first six libraries to be developed together with Futures First will be Bengaluru, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata and Mumbai, all locations where Futures First is currently located. We are super thrilled to have completed our first library project at Gurugram last month with Futures First. The school we chose for our first project is the Government Middle School, Sikanderpur Ghosi, Gurgaon. This school situated in Sikanderpur Ghosi village in Gurgaon area. This school is not easily accessible. As it’s situated in a congested area. The school had basic infrastructure with around 250 students. We developed the library with 1000 books, colourful rooms (hand-painted by our Futures First volunteers and students), bought games and sports-equipment, some furniture for classrooms and set up a few computers (donated by FF Delhi office) and also installed water filters as the children had no access to clean drinking water. We have the next library currently being developed at the Futures First second location – Jaipur. The inauguration is scheduled for week 2 of September.

This library project with Futures First will be part of Go Dharmic’s ‘Shape a Future’ campaign which aims to provide one million children with quality learning spaces by 2026. To date, Go Dharmic has developed 16 libraries across India and Nepal, all in Government schools which previously had little to no facilities for reading for leisure.

Anil Batra, COO of Futures First’s parent company, Hertshten Group commented: “We are extremely humbled and honored to be asked by Go Dharmic to participate in their wonderful work that they have done to date. Our colleagues at Futures First have taken part in many other charitable initiatives aimed at helping underprivileged children, but we now feel that we can place our whole focus on one amazing project.”

Hemal Randerwala, Founder and Chairman of Go Dharmic, commented: “We are thrilled to partner with Futures First.  I am sure that with the smart minds and big hearts of the Futures First community we can drastically improve learning spaces for thousands of children. I look forward to a great long-term relationship and personally meeting and working with the team to ensure we provide the best possible starts to many underprivileged children.”
