The Campaign ‘Wash your Hands’ is a simple but highly effective campaign to reduce the bacterial spread and promoting cleanliness in underprivileged schools by teaching them how to wash hands properly.
POWERED BY :
Handwashing with soap prevents many common and life-threatening infections. Many illnesses start when hands become contaminated with disease-causing bacteria and viruses. This can happen after using the toilet, contact with a child’s excreta, coughing, sneezing, touching other people’s hands, and touching other contaminated surfaces and utensils.
When hands are contaminated with disease-causing bacteria and viruses, these pathogens can enter the body or pass from one person to another to cause disease. Two major illnesses that are transmitted on the hands are diarrhea and pneumonia. Together, diarrhea and pneumonia cause more than 20% of deaths of children under the age of five. Many of these deaths can be prevented by handwashing with soap.
Each year, approximately 525,000 children die from diarrheal diseases, making it one of the top killers of children globally
The Campaign ‘Wash your Hands’ is a simple but highly effective program in reducing the bacterial spread and increasing cleanliness. By printing the poster below and delivering it to an underprivileged school, we can significantly help lots of children.
Print one of our ‘Wash Your Hands!’ posters to go to your local school.
If you can, get the kids around you to watch how you wash your hands properly so they can learn by example. With clear and simple instructions on how to thoroughly clean your hands, it will help prevent illnesses from spreading and improve sanitation.
Upload a picture from the school and let us know how many posters you have distributed! We are keeping a counter below so if you don’t tell us we won’t know!!
SHARING IS INSPIRING, Our studies show that the more we share within our community, the more other people will also participate!
