Arjun Rampal joins Go Dharmic for Covid 19 response in India as an Ambassador to help feed 1 million people.

Arjun Rampal joins GD Banner

Volunteer organisation Go Dharmic today announces that actor Arjun Rampal has become an ambassador and will work with Go Dharmic to fundraise and distribute 1 million meals worth of ration kits to underprivileged people.

He will help to launch Go Dharmic’s campaign, CORONAVIRUS EMERGENCY APPEAL, which aims to raise money to help distribute 1 million meals worth of ration kits to the daily wage and migrant workers in India.  We have already received commitments to feed over 150,000 people and are looking for more support to feed more people. Arjun joins GD ambassadors such as former England cricket stars Monty Panesar & Devon Malcolm to promote volunteering for social causes.

On the 25th of March, Go Dharmic in the UK launched the Emergency Coronavirus Appeal, and since then we’ve fed over 30,000 free meals to the elderly, vulnerable, and NHS frontline workers who are in need of assistance sourcing meals. Isolated elderly people have really benefited from this program.

Go Dharmic is unique as a charity as 100% of public donations goes to the beneficiaries, thousands of volunteers have helped across a number of social action projects and now today Arjun joins to raise awareness and raise money for the cause.

Our emergency campaign CORONAVIRUS EMERGENCY APPEAL INDIA was launched recently and we will provide ration kits worth 1 million meals to families of daily wage workers so that no one has to go hungry in the absence of employment opportunities. Till now, we have distributed ration kits enough to prepare over 50,000 meals to more than 6500 people.

Arjun Rampal said:

“The underprivileged are finding it extremely difficult to provide food for their families and I am sure the Government is doing their bit, but there is a gap and that is inevitable and every drop matters. I am glad to share I have joined this voluntary organisation Go Dharmic. It has done a marvellous job in  the UK and has fed a lot of NHS workers, elder & isolated people and in India, the goal is to feed 1 million people in the coming days and we are going to do it.”

Shirish Saraf said:

“We are trying to mobilise an effort to really feed the migrant and daily wage workers in India and I am urging everyone to contribute with their rations, foods, and money if you can to this very fantastic organisation Go Dharmic founded by my dear friend Hemal where they are making efforts to reach these people. I commend him for his sincerity and drive towards a very good cause and something close to all our hearts.”

Hemal Randerwala, Founder and Chairman of Go Dharmic, said:

“We are delighted to welcome Arjun Rampal as an ambassador for Go Dharmic and look forward to working together on our mission of feeding one million vulnerable people.”

“Now is the time for all communities to come together, show some love and work as one world family.”
