Saturday, October 18: Arrivals, Settling In & A Sacred Welcome to the Mountains

  • Welcome to the Himalayas! As you land at Pantnagar and journey through the foothills, the winding roads will slowly reveal the breathtaking charm of Guniyalekh. By afternoon, everyone settles into the peaceful Oak Climbing Resort — tucked away in serenity, surrounded by pine forests and endless skies.

Later in the evening, we gather for our first satsang, meeting each other in the spirit of openness and devotion. It’s a warm welcome — simple, yet full of grace — as we step into the retreat space with sacred intention and song.

Sunday, October 19: Seva, Sacred Temples & Kalichaudas Celebration

  • We begin the day with silence, meditation, and our first real connection with the space — before setting out to a nearby village school to engage in seva (selfless service) through Go Dharmic projects. You’ll feel the joy of giving back, of being useful in the simplest of ways.

The evening unfolds into a soulful celebration at a nearby Hanuman temple, where we’ll join in chanting, aarti, and the Kalichaudas havan ceremony under the Himalayan sky — a powerful night of fire, intention, and collective devotion.

Monday, October 20: Pilgrimage to Kainchi Dham & Kakrighat — An Enlightened Path

  • We leave early for Kainchi Dham, the sacred ashram of Neem Karoli Baba, arriving in time for the morning aarti. Here, we simply sit — in presence, in prayer, in reverence.

After lunch, we continue our pilgrimage to Kakrighat, where Swami Vivekananda experienced enlightenment. We visit the riverside ashram, temple shrines, and walk the same soil where great beings once sat in silence. Returning by evening to Guniyalekh, we unwind with an informal satsang at the retreat — a soft landing from a day of sacred movement.

Tuesday, October 21: Yoga, Nature Walks & Govardhan Puja in the Forest Temple

  • Begin your morning with grounding yoga as the mountain air fills your lungs. Later, we walk to the mystical Sombhari Baba cave, a hidden Himalayan sanctuary where time seems to pause.

In the evening, we gather at our forest Hanuman temple for a heartfelt Govardhan Puja, complete with songs, aarti, and flower offerings. The night flows into devotional sharing and satsang, where stories, insights, and sacred connection emerge naturally.

Wednesday, October 22: Sacred Pilgrimage to Hanumangarhi & Reflections at Nainital Lake

  • Today we journey to Hanumangarhi Temple, a revered high-altitude shrine where we’ll sing the Hanuman Chalisa together in unison. The temple overlooks Nainital town, where we spend the afternoon by the lake — strolling, sitting, and reflecting near its peaceful waters.

Later, we visit the home of KK Sah, a close devotee of Neem Karoli Baba, to hear personal stories and wisdom passed down from Maharajji himself. It’s a moving reminder of how the sacred is not just in places, but in people.

Thursday, October 23: Ayurveda, Healing Meditation & Closing Circle

  • This is a day for turning inward. We explore Ayurvedic principles of self-care and healing, and participate in a deep guided meditation led by Hanuman Dass. The energy is soft, introspective, and nurturing.

The evening brings a closing satsang — our final kirtan and devotional gathering at the Peace Centre. The energy of the group, the bhajans, the hearts opened — all of it becomes part of the memory you’ll carry home.

Friday, October 24: Journey to Rishikesh & Ganga Aarti Blessing

  • We rise early and begin our journey down to Rishikesh — city of sages, yogis, and the flowing Ganga. The drive is scenic, winding through valleys and villages as we slowly descend into sacred river land.

After rest and check-in, we gather by the banks of Ma Ganga for the sunset Aarti — flames rising, bells ringing, river sparkling. It’s the perfect beginning to this new chapter of the retreat.

Saturday, October 25: Havan, Return to Devotion & Krishna Das in Sacred Song

  • A sacred Havan begins our day — invoking strength, courage, and protection through mantra and fire.

In the afternoon, we attend a live Krishna Das concert — entering the ocean of bhakti through kirtan. If possible, the evening may include an informal visit or satsang with Krishna Das or local musicians. The whole day is devoted to sound, heart, and stillness.

Sunday, October 26: Yoga, Meditation & Final Offerings

  • We begin the day with a special session of yoga and meditation — grounding us into presence and breath.

After lunch, we return for another immersion in Krishna das’s sacred music, followed by a visit to Ashrams or an optional second Ganga Aarti, closing the day in sweet surrender and soft gratitude.

Monday, October 27: Yoga with Jahnvi Devi, Mala Ceremony & Departure

  • As the final morning dawns, a special session of yoga and meditation led by Jahnavi Devi (Claire Messingham). we gather in silence for our Mala Ceremony — a farewell ritual filled with blessings, music, sacred thread offerings, and heart-centered closure..

After breakfast, shuttles take you to Dehradun Airport, and with your malas, memories, and an awakened spirit, you return to the world — transformed, expanded, and forever touched by the Himalayas.
