For the past few weeks, we have been working hard to establish the best plan of action for our school project in Guniya Lekh. After many many conversations with Prema didi, our wonderful supporter who lives in nearby Kainchi, and Sanjay, the Pradhan of Guniya Lekh, our work is beginning to take shape.
Here is an image of the school that serves 40-45 primary schoolchildren from the village and its neighbouring areas. The children are taught by two teachers, one of whom travels nearly an hour and a half each way!
The surroundings are picture perfect. The school sits atop a small cliffside with a magical view of the hills nearby.
