Go Dharmic Volunteer Testimonial: John Klock

GD volunteers at the Ukraine-Poland border
John Klock is one of the many wonderful volunteers we at Go Dharmic have dedicated their strength and compassion to carrying out Ukrainian relief.
John, from the US, joined our group of volunteers on the Medyka Polish border. John helped distribute emergency kits, fruits, and snacks for Ukrainians fleeing the fighting and crossing the borders. Many of these refugees hadn’t eaten properly for several days and possessed little clothing and self-care products.
John told us: “It was such a great honour to work with you all on such an important mission. Thank you all! I’m now homeward bound but will remember this profound experience. To paraphrase a well-known poet, and to get a little sentimental, ‘I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence; Two roads diverged in a Medyka wood, and I—, I took the one less travelled by, And that has made all the difference.’ Well done, and thank you, Go Dharmic!”
We love John’s reference to Robert Frost’s “The Road Not Taken”!
We want to congratulate John and the many other volunteers who have gone above and beyond this year. In these times of Covid, Ukrainian conflict and Climate Crisis, volunteers like John are a godsend.
Their compassion and dedication to human life should move everyone to love and be kind.
They all shine our central ethos of Love All. Feed All. Serve All.
