Go Dharmic is now a registered charity in Scotland!
Go Dharmic is delighted to share with you that it is now a registered charity in Scotland- an important milestone for the Charity as it expands its presence particularly in Glasgow and the rest of Scotland. Go Dharmic now has charitable status under the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and is a growing movement for individual and social change. In Scotland currently, there are three food distributions a week, a dedicated office and a team of volunteers who together are making a real difference in the lives of people.
The Go Dharmic community has been serving millions globally in an endeavour to create a world where individuals can come together and create a force for good. It realizes the importance of building alliances with other organisations and networking with individuals who are potential partners, as this signals the start of a long-lasting relationship. Being registered as a charity under the Scottish Charity Register will open up many opportunities for GD to develop and expand its work in terms of benefiting the general public, or a sufficient section of them.
Led by incredible seventeen year old student Martin Dover, the Go Dharmic Glasgow team has been working incredibly hard and would like to take this opportunity to thank and congratulate them on this big feat. Martin’s drive and enthusiasm are inspiring and worthy of recognition. GD is extremely grateful to all the volunteers who have shown empathy and extended a helping hand towards its various projects and campaigns varying from feeding projects, setting up school libraries in impoverished schools, spreading awareness of hygiene, planting trees and more.
If you would like to join GD in its mission to make Scotland hunger-free, simply download the Go Dharmic Community App, introduce yourself in the ‘Introduce Yourself’ group mentioning you are in Scotland and one of the team will get in touch with you!
