Understanding Dharma with Hanuman Dass and Adam Robertson

    April 27, 2023

Are you teaching Hindu Dharma in your classroom? Dharma – the Hindu concept that brings a feeling of alignment and contentment.

Dharma can be summarised as Love for all Beings. It is an ancient concept rooted in Hindu scriptures/texts.

In this webinar, we will explore the idea of Dharma – examining how through Hindu stories and philosophy it focuses on compassion and connection with humanity and the natural world.

We will relate this to the work of Go Dharmic – as a principle-based charity seeking to live out dharmic values in the modern world.

This webinar will help Primary and Secondary teachers understand the depth of Hindu teachings on dharma, practical and accessible ways to explore them with pupils and students, the example of Go Dharmic as a modern-day charity organisation striving to make a difference, and enable you to see how the principles of dharma can be utilised/accessed by all – whatever their worldview.

Hanuman Dass (born Hemal Randerwala) is the founder and Chairman of Go Dharmic, an international humanitarian movement for compassion in action, inspired by the philosophy of dharma. He established Go Dharmic 11 years ago, motivated by a desire to perform a small act of compassion by feeding the homeless in London, to date, he established four registered charities and is engaging more than 10,000 volunteers in over 180 locations around the world.

Adam Robertson taught RE for 14 years as a Primary Teacher. He now works for RE Today – the charity that sponsors NATRE – the subject association for teachers of RE.

The webinar will be free, however, teachers may buy the amazing book by Hanuman Dass and Nicolas Sutton “The Power of Dharma”.
